Nigerian troops clear more IEDs in Borno, arrests fleeing Boko Haram suspects

The 5 Brigade Nigerian Army said it has embarked on clearance of Improvised Explosive Devices buried along the road that links New Marte-Dogongida-Kerenowa in Borno State.
The exercise is coming after the clearing of terrorist camps in Kerenowa, the Brigade said in a statement issued in Maiduguri.
It added that troops of one one five Task Force Battalion also arrested 5 fleeing terrorists and the family of a Boko Haram suspect who fled and abandoned them due to military offensive.
The arrested family, according to the release, included a woman and 4 children, who are now being catered for and investigated in a military facility.
