  • Amaechi confirmed as Minister despite walk out
The Senate went into a rowdy session as opposition Senators led by Senate leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State Senator Godswill Akpabio stood against moves by the senate to confirm former Governor of Rivers State Rotimi Amaechi as ministers of the Federal Republic.
The PDP Senators stage a walk out after long argument and deliberation to stop the confirmation of the former governor of Rivers State.
The Senators for the All Progressive Congress (APC) stood behind Rotimi Amaechi aspiration while the PDP Senators stood against it.
