The telecommunication magnate is from Ijebu Igbo in Ogun state and he’s the 7th richest man in Africa according to Forbes. But how has this benefited the people in his hometown? Ijebu Igbo is hometown to many prominent Nigerians today. For instance, Akin Adesina, the former agriculture minister who’s currently president of the African Development Bank is from Ijebu Igbo but the town almost never benefits from this good fortune. The town’s the second largest in the state next to the capital Abeokuta, but is by far less developed than the capital. Illiteracy is prevalent; schools and hospitals lack basic facilities. Troops clear more terrorists’ camps, rescue 31 Jonathan Zovoe  /  2 hours ago Jonathan Zovoe Troops fighting the Boko Haram insurgents in the Bama axis of Borno State have cleared the camps of the terrorists in the Aulari general area located within the Sambisa forest, a statement by the Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, has said. The statement read in part, β€œAll four camps located within the area that includes Faldan, Kidiziromari, Kuroshini, Kurumari and Ngulda were cleared. β€œA terrorist was killed while trying to escape while 31 persons were rescued. β€œStockpile of farm produce in metal drums, sacks and underground storage facilities were discovered. Other items recovered include several bicycles and motorcycles. Some of the farmlands yet to be harvested were also set ablaze by the terrorists.
